Frequently Asked Questions
Every Friday by bank transfer, for the jobs you completed the previous week. You keep 70% of each job plus 100% of any tips and late-cancellation fees. You don’t need to send invoices – the booking app keeps a record of every job and what you’re owed.
No. You set the days, times and areas you’re available in your login, and we only book you for jobs that fit. If something comes up you can change your availability at any time, as long as you give us reasonable notice for jobs already booked.
Yes – plenty of our cleaners have their own customers alongside Quy Fen Cleaning work. The only rule is that customers who book through Quy Fen Cleaning stay with Quy Fen Cleaning, so you can’t take them on privately.
If a customer cancels or reschedules with less than 48 hours’ notice they’re charged a cancellation fee, and 100% of that fee goes to you. If you need to cancel a job, we ask for as much notice as possible so we can find the customer another cleaner.
Yes. As a self-employed cleaner you need your own public liability insurance. It’s inexpensive – typically £5 to £10 a month from the usual cleaner-insurance providers – and we can point you in the right direction if you haven’t got it yet.
We ask every cleaner for a basic DBS check. If you don’t have a current certificate we’ll arrange one for you and cover the cost. It’s an online application that takes about ten minutes to fill in and usually comes back within a few days.
Your own cleaning products, cloths and equipment, including a vacuum cleaner. Customers can request specific products through the booking form, and we’ll let you know in advance if they do.
